Camina Davis was a lecturer in the Department of Public Health Sciences at UNC Charlotte since fall 2007. After an extended illness, Ms. Davis passed away on Sunday, January 14, 2018. To honor Ms. Davis' many contributions to UNC Charlotte's undergraduate public health programs and to community health in our region, the Department of Public Health Sciences is raising awareness and support through a scholarship in her name.
Camina earned her Master of Science in Health Promotion at UNC Charlotte and was honored recently by the North Carolina Association for the Advancement of Health Education with its Distinguished Friends of Health Education Award. Through her time at UNC Charlotte, Ms. Davis inspired countless undergraduate students to pursue careers in public health.
