Class of 2021: Did you know that making a gift, of any size, to UNC Charlotte can really help 49er students?

Here are some facts about giving to UNC Charlotte:

1. By making a gift, you are investing in other 49er students. You will be paying it forward because of support from Niners (alumni and students) who paved the way for you.

2. Without scholarships, many students would not be able to afford attending UNC Charlotte.

3. Student and alumni participation in giving affects US News and World Report rankings of UNC Charlotte, so more students and alumni that give, the higher value your degree will have!

We have been challenged to reach 449 donors before commencement in fall 2021. If we reach our goal, we will get an emblem placed on 49er Way near the stadium dedicated to the class of 2021. Make your gift today to support current and future Niners! 

Leave your Legacy on Campus

This year, the Class of 2021 is staking their claim through a brick campaign to benefit Student Success initiatives, including the Student Emergency Fund, Jamil Niner Student Pantry, and the Alumni Scholarship for Social Justice. Because we recognize this has been a difficult year for our students, we will be extending a discounted brick donation option through August 15th so that our seniors can leave their mark on campus. Every gift of $25 or more, made by or on behalf of a graduating senior, will be honored with a personalized brick in 49er Way. We need your help in donating to this fund!

The UNC Charlotte Student Emergency Fund helps current students by providing financial support when they need assistance with unexpected, unforeseen, and unavoidable emergency expenses, including pandemics. Your support of the Class Gift gives fellow 49ers a future to believe in. 

 The Jamil Niner Student Pantry provides assistance to UNC Charlotte students who struggle with food insecurities, helping ensure that every student has access to nutritious food. A contribution of $50 to the Jamil Niner Food Pantry will provide seven lunches and a $100 donation will feed one student dinner all week.

The UNC Charlotte Alumni Association Scholarship for Social Justice was created to support and uplift current students engaged in social action, racial justice and economic efforts in their communities. The fund provides annual support to returning undergraduate students with demonstrated financial need, potential for academic success in their chosen program of study, and a record of service or social action either at UNC Charlotte, in the greater Charlotte community or in the student’s hometown.

The brick walkway is located between Cameron Boulevard and the football stadium. 49er Way – one of the most traversed and most photographed routes on the UNC Charlotte campus – is the path the Charlotte 49ers football team, band, and fans take during home football games.

The Senior Class Council captivates seniors at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte by promoting growth, inclusion, and unity.
