On November 10th, members of UNC Charlotte's Global Medical Brigades attended the Light the Night Walk in Charlotte, NC.
Light the Night Walk is the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's walk to build awareness of blood cancers. This walk funds the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's research to find blood cancer cures. Communities join together to honor those who are fighting the disease and those whom they've lost.
As a group, we felt it was important to participate in this year's walk to support research for leukemia and lymphoma. This event also provided a time for the current GMB members, who plan to attend the Panama trip, an opportunity to get to know each other better. We are eager to bring medical supplies and help those less fortunate in Panama this May.
Thank you to the donors who have supported us to-date -- please continue to spread the word of our crowdfunding project to help us reach our goal!
